The Office of Licensing and Commercialization was originally founded in 1998. Since that time ECU has reviewed over 1,100+ inventions, brought in more than $8.6 million in gross income, filed more than 628 patent applications, assisted researchers in obtaining over $3.1 million in commercialization grant funding, and helped startups attract more than $30 million in outside investments.
