REMINDER: Protected Health Information (PHI) Storage

Research data containing Protected Health information (PHI) must be stored in a pre-approved storage location.  You must obtain approval for other storage options. Below is a list of the most commonly used pre-approved systems:

ECU Departmental PIRATE drive;
ECU REDCap;
ECU Health Medical Center secure drive; or
Entering data into a Sponsor’s secure website or data storage equipment (and the sponsor will own the data).

ECU users may have other options as listed on ECU’s Sensitive Data Storage and Transmission list.
