Research Summary
Rahman received his DVM and master’s degrees in Microbiology from Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He finished his doctorate from Jeonbuk National University, South Korea in Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine, where he focused on Molecular identification of antigenic molecules from zoonotic vector (Haemaphysalis longicornis) and their control strategy by RNA interference. His doctoral research falls within the area of Host-pathogen interaction. In his new position as a postdoctoral researcher, he is working with Dr. Md A Motaleb on Borrelia burgdorferi gene modification and its transmission assay on Ixodes scapularis.
