Research Summary
I’m a highly-motivated and experienced research scientist with more than 15 years of experience in human, animal and cell culture models, as well as within direct translational and clinical research. The main focus of my research over the years has been within human bioenergetics, specially linking the peroxosiome-mitochondrial interactions, as well as in the use of exercise to drive metabolic shifts in order to uncover novel targets in the partitioning and utilization of fuel sources. The main focus of my current research is to uncover real-time metabolic measures, as well as time-course/dose dependent responses to PFAS exposure in order to delineate the immune response and lineage of metabolic effects at the Bcell, whole body and tissue specific levels.
