Who is required to complete the mandatory IRB training modules for the protection of humans in research?

All members of the research team will need to complete the CITI modules. You may do so by logging on to the CITI website. These modules must be renewed every three years by completing the refresher course.

During registration, I am instructed to “select your institution or organization.” I cannot find East Carolina University, which institution should I select?

East Carolina University is located under the heading “all others” and can be found by clicking on the drop-down arrow.

I lost my CITI human protections training course certificate of completion. How can I obtain another copy?

Log on to the CITI website and print out another copy. If you are unsuccessful at printing another copy, you may contact the UMCIRB office.
