Operations Update – Subaward Letter of Intent
Proposals involving subrecipients generally require additional documentation to ensure that the proposed collaborators support the proposal and are eligible to receive funding from ECU. This process, with which experienced proposal writers are already familiar, has been updated and streamlined based on feedback and changes to federal guidelines.
The most significant change is a revised Subrecipient Letter of Intent. This document is completed by proposed collaborators during the proposal process. It secures key information about the subaward proposal and documents the support of the collaborator. The new streamlined form can be submitted back to ECU via automated e-mail and will upload automatically into eTRACS.
The revised Subrecipient Letter of Intent is located exactly where the prior form was located – most people get it from eTRACS when they are preparing their proposals. It is also available at: https://rede.ecu.edu/ora/ecu-subrecipient-letter-of-intent/
