RAIN Notes – February 2022
Training Requirements
Research Administrators who manage 5 or more sponsored projects or at least $100,000 of active awards should complete the Basics for Departmental Research Administrators (BDRA) training at https://go.ecu.edu/BDRA.
For additional information, see – Required Training for Departmental Administrators.
Individuals subject to this requirement should have already received direct notification from CMSI.
Foreign Influence on Research
Federal research agencies such as the NIH and the NSF have issued additional guidance intended to facilitate “implementation of research security policy will make it more difficult for individuals to conceal materially important support, obligations, conflicts of interest, and/or relationships that, when concealed, could lead to Federal research agencies (“research agencies”) making inadequately informed funding decisions.”
