Research Summary
My primary research is to understand how HIV replication, continued cellular reinfection, and persistence depend on the regulation of transcription factors and anti-viral restriction factors associated with target cell activation and the cytokine microenvironment. Understanding the effects of oral Candida spp on HIV pathogenesis will establish a means by which the mycobiome contributes to the modulation of host viral restriction factors. Besides, I also design nanoparticles with high flexibility for smart delivery and tailored treatments. We have been perfectionating, enhancing, and optimizing its synthesis. I aim to use these nanoparticles over mineralizing cells to understand enough to be tailored for regenerative therapies.
