New: ForagerOne


The Office of Undergraduate Research and the Water Resources Center are pleased to offer you access to ForagerOne. This web-based platform helps you connect with faculty and scholars from many different disciplines who are willing to mentor students through research projects or creative activities. Take the opportunity to create your profile in ForagerOne today and start your journey into connecting with our renowned faculty! From the ForagerOne Log In screen, select East Carolina University from the drop-down menu and go from there.

Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (URCA) Awards


Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (URCA) awards offer undergraduate researchers an opportunity to get paid for research at ECU. URCA awards can provide funding up to $2,000 to support faculty-mentored research and creative projects in the areas of biomedical sciences, social sciences, STEM, as well as arts and humanities. Fall semester applications are typically due the last Friday of September, and spring semester applications are typically due the last Friday in January. Conference Awards


Awards of up to $600 will be given to current or continuing undergraduate students who present their research or creative activity projects at conferences to assist in covering registration fees and travel costs within the United States. Awarded amount will be based on location, registration cost, and available funds. Only one undergraduate student for each project will be awarded conference money. Conferences must take place during the academic year. Money will only be transferred to the department in which the activity took place and the department will be responsible for student reimbursement and obtaining all required receipts.
