Clinical Trials
ECU’s Office of Clinical Trials manages issues related to these projects. The office supports some of the most innovative clinical research programs across eastern North Carolina, helping to bring the latest medical technologies to the residents of the region.
The office is a central resource for ECU faculty and staff who participate in clinical trials research, as well as external sponsors who seek to collaborate with ECU investigators. The services it provides include:
- Expert consults in budgeting, contract development and clinical research regulations
- Continuing education and training in the responsible conduct in clinical research;
- Aiding the development of clinical research projects and programs;
- Monitoring and assessment of clinical research quality and regulatory compliance; and
- Assisting clinical research teams with reporting and postings to clinicaltrials.gov.
