ORIC: Conflicts of Interest Update

To ensure compliance with federal regulations, the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance has instituted a new disclosure document for sponsored research.

At the time of proposal submission for any sponsored project, you will be directed by our office to complete a “Project Specific Conflict of Interest Disclosure” in the AIR system. Please note that this is not the same as the Annual Conflict of Interest Disclosure. The Project Specific Disclosure affords you the opportunity to discuss conflicts, potential or otherwise, that could bias your work on a specific project.

Our office will review your submission and reach out to you if further actions are required. This disclosure should be completed by all key personnel and investigators. To comply with regulatory requirements, these disclosures must be submitted before the proposal can move forward. More information about conflicts of interest, as well as responsible conduct of research and export controls and customs, can be found online.
